Buck Knives
Founded: 1902 · Idaho
Some products made in USA
Hoyt Buck made his first knife in 1902 while searching for a better way to temper steel so that it would hold an edge longer. More than a century later, Buck remains one of the most recognizable names in American knives. The company eventually established its manufacturing operation in Post Falls, Idaho, and its 1964 introduction of the Model 110 Folding Hunter helped define the modern folding hunting knife.
Product lineup
Buck's American-made offerings span folding hunting knives, fixed blades, camp knives, everyday-carry knives, fishing knives, and premium models. The 110 Folding Hunter remains the company's defining product, while models such as the 119 Special and Compadre series extend the lineup squarely into hunting and outdoor use.
